Company Profile

ACIB is a private company consisting of three equal share holdings held by the Director Leroy Bowmaker.

Leroy has develop a vast knowledge of the insurance broking area over his years in the industry working as account executive then as a senior underwriter with both large underwriters and small broking firms. He then accepted a role to run a small brokerage with success prior to becoming the licence holder of ACIB. Leroy also holds Advanced Diploma in Financial Services General Insurance, and is also qualified to provide Risk advice in terms of Life Insurance.

Our mission statement is as follows:

ACIB was established with the vision to provide quality service to our clients, in a professional & competitive manner to exceed their expectation. We envisage long term relationships with our clients based on this vision as we will only provide quality products via our network of Insurance suppliers and continued industry development.

By name and by nature ACIB, generates its business from all lines and all clients regardless of size and nature. We focus on coverages which truly reflect our clients needs. Our position of strength has been achieved by the longevity of our relationships.

What to expect

Recently, our compliance auditor asked me what do I expect from her for the fees I pay.  This got me thinking as a customer what do I expect, and does anyone actually tell me what I should be expecting?

So as your Broker, ACIB commits to the following:-

  1. Marketing of your new business and renewals to ensure the right products and price is achieved to suit your needs.

  2. Insurance Reviews – Obviously with most clients we attempt to see you once a year – sometimes this does not work with commitments or time frames.  Please be aware that if you want or need to see us, just call the office to make an appointment.

  3. Value and Money – ACIB believes in keeping costs down so compared to most others our broker’s fees and commission are kept down to pass value for money to you.  Our standard commission and broker fees cover marketing/general clients service and basic surveys.  If your claim is more complicated, such as Complex, Business Interpretation or liability claims, we may charge you a fee for services

  4. Qualified Staff – The General Insurance world has changed, we now employ qualifies professionals to service our clients.  Expect the same from us as you would your solicitor and accountant.

Structure

With two branches in NSW, and plans to expand ACIB operates a flat structure which means that at anytime you can contact people who can help. Our focus is to offer all lines of insurance for all clients anywhere in the world. Recently this has meant alignment with many international contacts, to service an expanding globalisation of our client needs.

Adding Value
Our primary role is that of a risk manager – to add value in the capacity.  We do not profess to have the internal skills to provide all the peripheral service that may be needed, nor do we believe we should.  We see our role best suited to manage the risk and insurance affairs of clients by identifying and seeking out those services from the best available, if and when they are needed.

Insurance Claims
Insurance represents a promise to pay.  We actively work with our client, minimising their stress by managing the entire claim process.  We advise as to necessary action, prepare and collate required documentation, ensuring smooth settlement of the claim.

Selectivity
Our approach to new business is selective.  Relationships drive our business and, to achieve the ultimate result, the correct chemistry must exist between each client and ourselves.  Consequently we accept we can only do business with those who share our ideals and place a high value on added value service.

International Scope
Our horizons are global.  We can demonstrate proven capability to advise corporations in UK, Europe, USA, Australasia and Asia in regard to risk and insurance related matters, global program management and co-ordination, tendering, major insurance claim management including disaster recovery, as well as other specialised insurance matters.
